Kolkata Food

                                 



I have heard many times people to say Kolkata is known for Rosogollas and fish.
But that is so untrue. Please  don't just go by my words. If you try out different eateries at Kolkata , you  will get to know  why  we are called foodies.


The life of all kolkata people revolves around maach bhat(fish curry)  or  kosha manghsho bhat ( chicken curry with rice).
Sunday morning is heaven if the breakfast is luchi & Kosa alur dum ( puri with potato curry)
The evenings are delight with  the beautiful and the gorgeous  gorom gorom alur chop aar beguni sathe halka ektu muri , (fiery hot and crispy  type of cutlet and fluffy rice)

And the sweetest thing , the famous desert the Roshogolla and  nolengur’er sondesh (rasgulla, the dry sweet made of jaggery and sugar).

Rasmalai at KC Das esplanade, also can also their peas kachauri and radhavallabhi, u will fall in love with them. Try rolls and biriyani at Nizam, New market area.  Momos are very famous here in Kolkata, you can go and try Tiriti bazar. One must try out a full meal at Bhajahari Manna,6 ballygung place and many more. Right from sukto to daab chingri the delicacies are excellent. 
Different types of Tea is served throughout the day with milk or without milk.
It is too difficult to answer that which is the main food of Bengalis.For us food is life.
