KUNG PAO NOODLES
KUNG PAO NOODLES | Kolkata Style
Spicy kung pao noodles easy to cook and tasty to eat.
I am obsessed with spicy food.When it comes to chines food, kung pao noodles is the best combination of sweet and spicy kung pao sauce. You can add some chicken ,egg ,veggies and peanut to make it a full meal.
I tried this dish first time few weeks back and loved it. I search about the classy kung pao sauce and tried many dishes with some Indian touch .
Today I am going to share spicy kung pao noodles with a little Indian touch .
The kung pao noodle dish isn’t overly spicy but I liked it spicy so I added more chilies to that.You can adjust by your own taste.This is the perfect combination of sweet and heat and glued into one flavorful saucy noodle dish. I have complete the meal with chili garlic chicken as a side dish.
So Lets explore the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb spaghetti or noodles (225 to 300 grams approx)
- chicken 700 grams (boneless or breast chunks bite size cuts)
- 1/2 cup soya sauce
- 1/4 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp of rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1-2 tbsp chili flakes
- 1 tbsp corn starch mix with 2 tbsp of water
- 1 tbsp of corn starch
- 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot , thinly sliced
- cabbage 1/2 cup , thinly sliced
- cooking oil
- garlic cubes 3 to 4 cloves
- garlic paste 1 tsp
- chili garlic sauce 2 tbsp
- salt to taste
Method:
Boil the water and add the noodles .Add approx 1 tsp cooking oil to it and a pinch (1/4 tsp)of salt. Cook theme according to the instructions given in the
package. Drain them and keep them aside.
In the mean time:
Add 2 tbsp of soya sauce to the chicken cubes,1 tbsp corn flour,mix it well and set aside.(We are skipping the salt at this point of time as our soya sauce already have some salt on it.)
Now heat a pan or kadai and add 1 tbsp of cooking oil and add peanuts.
Toss it until they become crispy and set aside.
Now on that pan add another 1 tbsp of oil add garlic cubes fry it and add 1 tsp garlic paste mix well for 20 to 30 sec until the raw smell has gone.At this point add the marinated chicken and fry it.The flame should be high.Add chilies, mix it well.Now we are adding our veggies like green bell peppers, cabbage, carrots,green onions mix it and cook them. After 2 to 3 mints we will turn off the heat and set the chicken and veggies aside.
Now on a large pan we are heating the cooking oil adding 2 tbsp of soya sauce,2 tbsp of chili garlic sauce, 1 tsp of Rice wine vinegar, sugar and mixing them very well until we get a boil.
Now add mix of 2 tbsp of water with 1 tbsp of corn flour to the sauce and mix it well. Stir the sauce continuously. If the sauce become too dry or thick add a little water to it.
At this point add the fried chicken and veggies,noodles and fried peanuts,mix them well for 2 to 3 mints . Check the seasoning and turn off the flame.
You can sprinkle some sesame oil on it and serve them hot.

I have completed it a plate of chili garlic chicken as a side dish.
